About ABS
General information

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is an amorphous thermoplastic made from three monomers: acrylonitrile adds chemical resistance, butadiene adds impact toughness, and styrene adds stiffness and a glossy surface. ABS falls under recycling code 7 ("other") and is usually marked >ABS< on products.
ABS is commonly used for electronic and household appliance casings, automotive interior components, and other injection products that need a neat, impact-resistant surface. Buyers of recycled ABS usually evaluate MFI, density, impact strength, ash content, contaminants, bromine content, color, and odor.
ABS absorbs moisture, so it needs drying before processing. Suitability for a specific application depends on the material specification and your requirements, so please discuss it with our team first.
