This section gives general information about the material, not YJP product specifications.
Nylon is the common trade name for polyamide (PA), a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic. The most common types are PA6 and PA66. Nylon is known for being strong, wear- and friction-resistant, tough, and oil-resistant, with a higher melting point than PP, PS, or ABS. Its recycling code is number 7 ("other"), and it is usually marked >PA6< or >PA66< on products.
Nylon is widely used for gears, bushings, machine and automotive parts, tool housings, cable ties, and yarn and nets. Common uses for recycled nylon are non-food engineering injection parts, blends with virgin nylon, and compounding. Buyers usually assess the type (PA6 or PA66), glass fiber content, viscosity or MFI, moisture, color, contaminants (PP, PE, metal, rubber), and black specks, so state your requirements when asking for a quote.
Nylon absorbs moisture from the air, so it must be dried before melting. General industry guidance is a desiccant dryer at about 80 °C for a few hours, but always follow your machine or supplier's recommendations. We suggest a sample or trial first before placing a large order.
Material is sorted, crushed with crushing machines (we have 10 crushing machines), washed, then packed.
Currently Nylon Grey in granule form. Other colors or forms depend on availability; send your requirements through WhatsApp.
Prices follow market conditions, type, color, form, and order volume, so we give a quote per request. Send us your requirements for the latest price and order terms.
The type and test data can be requested from our sales team for the products available. Tell us which type your machine or product needs when you ask for a quote.
In general, PA66 has a higher melting point and is slightly stiffer, while PA6 is easier to process and slightly more ductile. The choice depends on your application and machine settings.
Yes. Nylon absorbs moisture from the air; if melted while damp, the result can be bubbly and brittle. Follow your machine or supplier's drying recommendations (general guidance: about 80 °C with a desiccant dryer).
Granules are flakes or particles from a crusher machine, while pellets (plastic beads) are uniform beads made by remelting and re-extruding. Our nylon is currently in granule form; ask our sales team about pellet availability.
This can be discussed. Contact our sales team for the sample or trial terms.
